India to Spain Travel
The city of Granada city is a monument. Apart from the Arab edifices and walls, many of the churches still bear the traces of the mosques they once were, and there are countless other buildings of historic and artistic interest.
The Royal palaces of the Nasrids are worth a visit. Sacromonte is a legendary area of hillside caves inhabited by Gypsies, with characteristic flamenco shows and beautiful views of the Alhambra.
The small town Montefrio has a ruined Arab castle, an old church designed by Diego de Siloe and a pacemaker of Spanish neoclassical architecture Ventura Rodriguez.
The city enclaves of Ceusta on the North African Coast astride the Strait if Gibraltar, and Melilla, on the African shore of the Mediterranean are equally attractive propositions, thanks to good
connections from the mainland, which put their beaches and bargain priced goods within easy reach.
Madrid has magnificent painting museums where the visitor can admire some of the most famous works of art by classic and contemporary masters.
There are also museums dedicated to sculpture, archaeology, science and other areas. The most important is the Prado Museum, which is visited by thousands of visitors who visit the museum very year for the marvelous works of Spanish and European painting from the 12th to the 18th century.
On the coast of Malaga, the baroque Cathderal and the Arab fortress, with a double wall and three interior palaces are a fine show.
The Museum of Fine Arts houses a collection from the 19th century and works by Picasso. Benalmena
has a lovely, well-cared-for old town in the Andalusian style.
In Marbella a visit to the old town surrounding the Orange Square, the Town Hall, the Casa del Corregidor, the jail and the hermitage of Santiago is a must. No trip is complete without a visit to beautiful old Ronda.
Green Spain came into being due to the combined efforts of Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria and the Basque country to enhance the shared traits of their countryside , climate, cuisine, and tourist attractions, namely, sea and mountains , sports and rural tourism.
The best developed sea-and-sun tourist areas in Spain are the Valencian Region, Andalusia and Catalonia, which are endowed with a wide range of top quality facilities, while other regions of inland Spain, such as Aragon, Castile & Leon, Castile - La Mancha and Extremadura, hold out the promise of historic cities, many of which are officially designed World Heritage sites, artistic and monumental treasures, delicious food and settings of great natural beauty.
Other autonomous regions such as La Rioja, Madrid, Murcia and Navarre, posses the appeal and charm of towns and villages positively alive with tradition and character, offering the visitor a wealth of Cultural and scenic attractions. Island Spain is without doubt on the top tourist destinations.
On the eastern part of the coast, Nerja has lovely little coves and its famous vantage point over the sea, the Balcony of Europe. Nearby are the famous caves of Nerja.
