Major Tourist Attractions
Bonn
Bonn is a 2000-year-old city that
has a wealth
of sites to offer tourists. The Town Hall or the Baroque
Alte Rathaus, the Kreuzberg Chapel, two-storied Schwarzrheindorf
Church and a large number of other churches are worth
a visit. The late 19th-century streets of the old "Südstadt"
with their
splendid facades, the Alte Friedhof, and
the Rheinaue Recreational Park are the other main tourist
attractions.
Berlin
Berlin is the capital city and heart
of Germany with its grand public buildings, museums
and theatres, restaurants, pubs and enthusuastic nightclubs.
The Brandenburg Gate, Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche
(church), Checkpoint Charlie Museum and Kulturforum,
that is a group of museums and concert halls are all

Weimar
The small city of Weimar is a cultural
pilgrimage site for Germans. The Bauhaus Museum, the
Goethe National Museum and the ruins of the Buchenwald
concentration camp are located here.
Tübingen
Tübingen is a picturesque university
town with the Hohentübingen Castle and beautiful views
of the surrounding countryside.
Leipzig
Once home to Bach, Wagner and Mendelssohn,
Leipzig has some of the finest classical music and opera
in Germany. The Museum of Fine Arts here has an excellent
collection of old masters, and Leipzig's contemporary
art and literature scenes are progressive and doing
well in current times.
Heidelberg
Heidelberg is said to have been
inhabited for hundred of thousands of years. This is
where the oldest human jawbone of pre-human Homo heidelbergiensis
or Heidelberg man (approximately 500,000 years old)
was found.
It offers a large number of places for tourist
sightseeing. The Heidelberg University is the first
University of Germany. The city is alos famous for the
large number of monasteries and castles located here.
the Heidelberg Schloss whose façade is a living example
of Renaissance architecture., and which also houses
the world's largest wine vat, must not be missed.
