Basle (BSL) 12km (7miles) from city. Basle SBB Luftreiseburo bus runs from airport to city. Taxi service is also available.

Rail Transport: Switzerland has connected rail service with UK, Spain, Italy and Germany. Beside it there is an Inter-Rail pass which offers second-class train travel in almost 29 countries.

Road Transport: Austria, France, Germany and Italy are connected with Switzerland also by

roads. Driving times to Geneva and Zurich is average about 12-15 hours. Coach services are also

available to Switzerland. Minimum age of driving is 18 years and speed belts are mandatory to wear while driving in Switzerland. Speed limit varies according to different lanes. 80kph-country lanes, max.120kph and min.60kph on motorways and not more than 50kph in towns are allowed.

Social Rituals: Chrysanthemums and white asters are considered as funeral flowers, so avoid them. Also avoid red roses. Giving unwrapped flowers to hostess is a custom.
