in Spain is an exemplar of indulging one self
into unrestrained hours of splurge and extravaganza.
However, this does not imply that you shop with some
ostentatious purpose in mind.
It is completely done
for one self. And when so said, it definitely stands
for the fact that in Spain you shop for yourself remaining
undisturbed of your budget or free spending.
It will
be wise to put it this way that Shopping in Spain is

Majority of stores are run by families
only. It's been very lately that supermarkets
and hypermarkets have come up. In Spanish
suburbs hypermarkets are extending their wings whereas
old cities still hold the traditions of family run stores.
From food, flowers, clothes, shoes, crockery,
cookware, linen, ceramics, cassettes/CDs, arts and crafts,
household wares, carpets to jewelry ; all these
and many more can be found in any of the indoor markets
called mercados , side-street stall
markets and mobile open-air street markets moving from
area to area.
Sometimes you may find things at 20% lower
rates in mobile markets to permanent markets. However
it is believed that open-air street markets are better
to visit for shopping in Spain. And the best shopping
destinations are Barcelona and Madrid.
However, to buy handmade items such as ceramics, pottery,
woodwork, embroidery and paintings, Spain is the best.
Spanish leather goods are also better quality products
and worth for money.
Shopping hours vary from place to place in Spain.
Markets
usually operate from between 8:30 and 9:30 to between
13:00 and 14:00 and from around 17:00 to between 19:30
and 21:00.
But on Saturdays shops operate from 9:30
to 14:00. Department stores, hypermarkets and many supermarkets
are open without a break from around 9:30 to between
20:00 and 22:00. On Sunday most stores remain closed.
