by its continental land mass and high mountainous terrain,
producing a mosaic of climates, the most assorted in
Europe. Peninsular Spain experiences three climatic
types: continental, maritime, and Mediterranean.
The culture of Spain is really varied and there are
many regional communities within the state. Thus there
are a wide range of festivals celebrated throughout
the year in Spain.
The variety in Spanish culture is
even reflected in the traditional Spanish cuisine which
comprises a wide variety of dishes.

Not often this wonderful meteorological miracle comes to pass, when Madrid’s difficult micro-climate allows the snow that’s been falling on the nearby sierras to creep within the city limits.
The city grinds to a halt in surprise of course, and it never lasts more than 24 hours, but I made sure to get a quick morning walk in the Retiro, with many of the other city’s photographers!
