It is situated at the eastern tip of Pulau Ubin. It
is a home for six distinct habitats which includes coastal
forest, mangroves, sand bars, sea grass lagoon, rocky
shore and coral world.

Visits to Chek Jawa is on a first-come-first-served basis and is only possible at low tides.

Visitors should wear proper footwear and should not litter, touch nor collect any plant nor animal specimens.
Chek Jawa proudly houses a vibrant and diverse species
of wild life. Starfish, sea horses and octopus dwell
happily in the sand and mud flats.
Carpets and peacock
anemones nestle pretty in the sea- grass meadows. The
colorful coral rubble is a home for sponges of all hues.
The visitors are guided by the experts along a definite

anemone, tube anemone, sea cucumbers, horseshoe crab,
hermit crab, the unique sand dollar, sponges, sea pen,
mud skipper, fiddler crab, shrimp, bristle-worm and
different varieties of sea grasses, just to name a few
of what you will see at Chek Jawa. It boasts beautiful
