Vientiane is the capital city of Laos and is considered to be the largest Village in Asia. It is a vivacious and gorgeous city and is among Lao's major cities. It is placed on the Mekong River which forms the lifeline of the country.  Vientiane is the heart for all tour in the country.

Victory Monument bears an outstanding, if somewhat rococo , resemblance to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. An important national monument is the 16th-century That Luang (Royal Stupa) that commemorates Buddhist and Lao union. Other attractive sights include the Lao Revolutionary Museum; Wat Ho Prakeo, a former imperial temple. Wat Sisaket, one of the capital's oldest temples; Wat Xieng Khouang (Buddha Park), located 24km (15 miles) south of the city and adorns fascinating Buddhist and Hindu structures.
