| The
Royal Palace Museum in Luang Prabang was built in 1904
during the French colonial period of King Sisavang Vong
and his family. The architecture of the building has
a mixed architectural style of traditional Lao motifs
and French art. It has been laid out in a double-cruciform
shape with the entrance on one side of the lower crossbar.
There are a variety of royal religious objects on display
in the large entrance hall.
The Lao National Museum is the only museum in Vientiane
documenting both the history of Laos and the history
of war, this makes for an interesting afternoon's venture.
There are other museums in Laos that are interesting
places of visit.
