Four, possibly five of the world's seven species of turtle are indigenous, including the Green Turtle, the Leatherback, the Hawksbill and perhaps the Olive Ridley turtle. Whales and dolphins and dugongs can also be found in the waters of the Arabian Gulf.

Animal life in Dubai includes camels, horses and goats - the traditionally domesticated animals.
