| Templo
de la Musica is among the myriad tourist attractions
in Costa Rica that act as a major draw for
the foreigners visiting Costa Rica. The temple was ceremoniously
opened on December 24, 1920 and formerly served as the
venue for the speeches heavily laden with political
significance and also acted as the seat for the interchanging
of powers.
The inspiration for building Templo de la Musica was
derived from the temple dedicated to music and love
in Versailles. The construction of this temple can be
credited to the painter turned architect Francisco Salazar,
who replaced a wooden cubicle with this temple. During
the twentieth century, the orchestras and the city bands
staged their concerts in Templo de la Musica and they
were chiefly meant for the peasant folks. It is only
recently that Templo de la Musica has been reinstated
with the rest of Morazan Park. If you are lucky enough
to pay a visit to this temple during special occasions,
you will be treated to some brilliant musical performances
by the San Jose City Band and the National Symphonic
Orchestra. Templo de la Musica is the perfect place
where you get to experience some unforgettable moments
on your Costa Rica tour. Love and music blends to give
you the unique feel that would definitely touch a chord
in your heart.
